Instructions
Below are 20 sentences designed to help you practice identifying parts of speech.
For each sentence:
1. Read the sentence carefully.
2. Identify the part of speech for each word (noun, pronoun, verb, adjective,
adverb, preposition, conjunction, interjection).
3. Write your answers in the space provided or on a separate sheet.
4. Check your answers using the answer key at the end.
Tip: If a word seems tricky, ask: What role does it play? Does it name something,
describe something, or connect ideas?
